Active Shooter Response Training Available for YOU

In light of the most recent shooting tragedy in Florida....again, our outdated lockdown procedures during an Active Shooter incident, is getting students killed. For those who don't understand, the currently mandated lockdown procedure... it was divised and instituted first HERE in California as a response to DRIVE BY shootings. That makes sense to close blinds, turn off lights and 'duck' below the windows (where bricks were the typical building material)......This doesn't work when a shooter is on campus....it makes every student a sitting target. There were even students who stated the teachers were telling them to go back into the school and lock the doors.....WHAT!!!!! Let's get serious

Active Shooter Programs Growing

One of Delaney Insurances and Compliance & Safety First's more exciting programs is the ALICE Active Shooter Response Program. Why is it exciting....it has been proven to save lives. I was personally and professionally trained at one of their sessions. It is very real in that you are placed in real life situations which are recreated with classrooms, active shooters and you are instructed to respond in the 'approved' manner .....which is typically a 'lockdown' situation......and if there is an active shooter on premises, you will most typically get shot and possibly killed. Employers Must Post 300A Injury/Illness Summary Until April 30 OSHA reminds employers of their obligation to post a copy ofOSHA’s Form 300A, which summarizes job-related injuries and illnesses logged during 2017. Each year, between Feb. 1 and April 30, the summary must be displayed in a common area where notices to employees are usually posted.
