Our OSHA Certified Risk Manager can inspect your business and reveal how it stands up to OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures in general industry. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA General Industry Standards, general industry principles and special emphasis on those areas in general industry which are most hazardous. Once the inspection is completed, the Risk Manager will locate and determine appropriate OSHA General Industry Standards, policies, and procedures, and describe the use of OSHA General Industry Standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program.

Some of the typical areas reviewed are:

  • Effects of Workplace injuries and illnesses

  • Mission and importance of OSHA in the workplace

  • Organization, origin, codification of OSHA Standards

  • Processes and Rules for OSHA inspections, citations, penalties and policies

  • OSHA recordkeeping requirements for injuries and illnesses and OSHA forms 300, 300A, and 301

  • OSHA programs including safety and health management systems, and Injury and Illness Prevention Programs (IIPP)

  • Federal OSHA Standards that protect workers from and describe requirements of:

  • Walking and working surfaces hazards - 29 CFR 1910- Subpart D

  • Emergencies including fire protection - 29 CFR 1910- Subpart E

  • Machinery hazards - 29 CFR 1910- Subpart O

  • Personal Protective Equipment- 29 CFR 1910- Subpart I

  • Hazardous Materials - 29 CFR 1910- Subpart H

  • Common Health hazards - 29 CFR 1910- Subparts G and Z

  • Permit-Required Confined Space hazards - 29 CFR 1910.146

  • Electrical hazards - 29 CFR 1910- Subpart S

Once our inspection has been completed and we have worked through most issues, Delaney Insurance can request a consultation inspection from OSHA for your facility. This provides a third party, no cost to you, OSHA Inspector to inspect your facility and provide you a report on any discrepancies “WITHOUT” any reporting to OSHA. This is all done confidentially and behind the scenes without any OSHA fines or reporting.

OSHA Certified Trainer

Our OSHA Certified Trainer has the ability for teaching the 10 and 30-hour general industry safety and health Outreach Training Program to your employees and other interested groups and to issue cards to participants after verifying course completion. Using the OSHA General Industry Standards as a guide, special emphasis is placed on those topics required in the 10- and 30-hour programs as well as those which are most hazardous.

OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Program

The OSHA Outreach Program is a voluntary training program designed to provide instruction on a variety of General Industry safety and health standards to entry level participants. This two-day course will present a variety of 29 CFR 1910 standards in one-hour increments. Following successful completion, participants will be issued OSHA course completion cards.

OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Program

OSHA Outreach Training is the principal method used to train workers in the essentials of occupational safety and health in General Industry work sites. This 30-Hour outreach course, covers specific OSHA standards and requirements as they apply to general industry and teaches safety awareness which helps in recognizing and reducing the risks of job site hazards. This training is intended for workers with some safety responsibility and covers safety and health hazards workers may face on construction work sites. Our course puts emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.
